Spinach Side Dish / Sigeumchi-namul
A Korean side dish made from blanched spinach seasoned with sesame oil, garlic, and other seasonings. It can also be used as a topping for bibimbap.

Ingredients

- Korean tuna sauce0.5~1 T

Cooking Steps

Boil the spinach until it has wilted and turned a vibrant green.

Rinse the spinach under cold water, then squeeze out as much water as possible.

Add the tuna sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt to the bowl. Adjust the amount of salt to taste, then gently mix everything together by hand.
Tips
- Step 2: Separate and loosen the spinach leaves, then place them in a mixing bowl.
- It's a great ingredient for bibimbap.
- If you leave out the tuna sauce, this dish can also be made vegan.
- It pairs especially well with beef dishes.
